Trump

Trump winning the elections for the next president of the United States of America; it just might be the best thing that could've happened to this world.

Why? One could ask. It seems he is the worst candidate ever to run for president. And probably he is. However, with Trump as president, a few things could happen.

With Trump as president, people may start to realise that we don't have much to expect from the government in regards to change or a better, more honest world with care for our environment, and take control for their own lives and that of their communities in their own hands. We should not look at the goverment to work for our ideals. It doesn't matter whoever rules a country. Obama, Bush, Clinton or Trump. Real change comes from within. From the 'common man'.

Another thing that might happen (and which is very much likely to happen) is that Trump won't be able to fulfill his 4 year term. He might have to resign, in which case new elections might be necessary. By that time hopefully with much better candidates than during this elections. Or maybe with some more attention for the independable candidates.

Speaking about new elections; maybe people will start to realise that the way the elections are organized is much too complicated. It is possible to become president without getting a real majority of votes. Maybe it's time to change that too.

It is also possible that Trump as president will act much differently than he did campaign for. Maybe he cleans up his act, and will start to behave much more presidentially. Or maybe the decisions he will make as president will be much more thoughtful and wiser than you could possibly imagine right now.

And it is possible that with Trump as president, doing all the things he promised, the United States of America will lose it's leading position in the Western world. Which, to me, wouldn't be so bad either.

I don't really think things like that would happen if Hillary Clinton won the election. I think she would lead the country without much protest, but also without much vision, progress or change. She would maintain the US as it is. It is change, progress and vision we need in the world. Clinton doesn't have that, but could keep it all together, maintaining a system that should no longer be maintained. Trump probably lacks the ability to 'keep it all together'. Under his leaderships the system might collapse, giving space for the changes that are needed in this world.

So, in the end; I think it might be a good thing Trump won these elections.
